For two years now, the coronavirus pandemic has been affecting us, with all its consequences for our daily lives. Thanks to adherence to the AHA guidelines and the consistent wearing of medical masks, last season’s flu outbreak was very mild.

The downside of this behaviour, however, is that our immune system has been unable to respond to stimuli and has consequently been weakened. This makes it all the more important to head into winter this autumn feeling refreshed and revitalised. We therefore urge you to get vaccinated against the flu (influenza).

The date for the vaccination will be announced by the employer in due course. The vaccination will take place on site.

General information

• The flu is transmitted via droplets or contact, which means that washing your hands alone is not sufficient protection.
• The real flu (influenza) is characterised by a sudden onset of symptoms, including a fever, a sore throat, a dry cough, etc.

Why get vaccinated?

• Vaccination is the most effective protection against influenza.
• STIKO recommends vaccination for, for example, people over the age of 60, pregnant women or people at increased risk of infection.

Side effects

• The vaccine is generally well tolerated. Redness of the skin at the injection site, swelling, a slight fever, sweating,
• Fatigue and other symptoms may occur. The symptoms usually subside within two days.
• If you are allergic to any of the vaccine’s ingredients, such as chicken egg protein, you should consult your doctor.
• You should avoid doing any sport for a few days after your vaccination.
